Music at Friends is a diverse concert series held at the Woodstown Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse, 104 North Main Street in Woodstown, NJ. The mission of the series is to bring quality musical performances to our community while utilizing the beautiful setting and fine acoustics of our historic meetinghouse.

Ensemble Impromptu includes Stephen and Maud Goodnight, and Dave Anderson who have each performed internationally as well as regionally.  Dances and Romances is a program of light classical music for two cellos and piano. Composers include Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Shostakovich, Elizondo, and Ungar.

Jackson Pines brings the sounds and stories of the New Jersey Pine Barrens to life through a distinctive blend of folk, blues, Americana, and indie rock. Led by singer-songwriter Joe Makoviecki and upright bassist James Black, the band pairs intimate acoustic arrangements with songs rooted in both personal experience and regional history. Their acclaimed Pine Barrens recordings explore traditional songs collected from the communities of South Jersey, alongside the band’s own original music. Pine Barrens Volume Two was released in 2024, the same year The Aquarian named Jackson Pines its Band of the Year. Their newest album, Wheel, released in 2026, continues their mix of evocative storytelling and American roots music. Jackson Pines returns to our series with music that feels at once deeply local and timeless.

Pea Patch Brass performs brass quintet music in a variety of genres, including classical, contemporary, ceremonial, jazz, patriotic, and holiday. At times, the ensemble incorporates percussion.
